A Message to Our Clients
James Rode
Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our communities, and our daily way of life. At this time, I wanted to reach out and update you on how MLA Claims is approaching the situation.
First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. We are also focused on the health and safety of our employees and clients as well as their families.
Additionally, we are truly inspired by the selfless healthcare, postal, grocery, sanitation and other workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need and/or providing essential services.
MLA was founded and built on the foundation of two basic principles - do the right thing and work hard.
MLA’s character will shine brightest during this dark time. All MLA employees will be treated right. Also, irrespective of the current economic situation, we are giving back more than ever. My proudest example is that MLA elected to donate its extra personal protective equipment (PPE) and financially support my 14-year-old daughter who took the initiative to proactively raise money to provide supplies to healthcare workers on the front line. The team at MLA continues to work hard and do the right thing by our clients and the communities we serve.
MLA’s employees are working from home. Most of our employees are adept at working remotely. As such, the abrupt change to the new normal has been a relatively smooth transition for us since we have the infrastructure in place and the experience of adaptability from repeatedly responding to catastrophic events.
Substantial property damage and business interruption claims continue to occur. Insurance claims need to be reported promptly and documented professionally as before COVID-19. While affording the current COVID-19 circumstances its warranted consideration, MLA will continue to deliver the highest levels of professionalism and service that our customers are accustomed to receiving.
As we go forward, I’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that MLA values your questions, ideas and/or feedback.
